Northside Welcome Centre was established in 2006 as a welcoming community hub serving Erdington and the surrounding areas. For over 20 years, we have been committed to supporting people of all ages by providing opportunities to improve health, wellbeing, confidence, learning and community connection.

We offer a wide range of activities, educational programmes and community services designed to help people develop new skills, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, build lasting friendships and become more actively involved in their local community. Everyone is welcome, and we strive to create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where people feel valued, respected and encouraged to thrive.

Whether someone is looking to improve their digital skills, take part in health and wellbeing activities, meet new people or simply enjoy being part of a welcoming community, Northside is here to help.

Northside Welcome Centre is operated by the charity Sikh Nari Manch UK, founded in 1998 by Bibi Gurdev Kaur OBE. Originally established to support women and families in the Stockland Green area of North Birmingham, the charity recognised the wider need for accessible community services. This vision led to the creation of Northside Welcome Centre, which continues to serve the local community through partnership, inclusion and a commitment to improving lives.

As we celebrate 20 years of serving our community, we remain dedicated to creating opportunities for people to learn, connect and thrive for many years to come.
