Twenty Years of Community, Friendship and Opportunity

This year, Northside Welcome Centre proudly celebrates 20 years of serving the local community.

Since opening our doors in 2006, we have welcomed thousands of people from all walks of life, providing a place where friendships are formed, confidence is built and opportunities are created. Over the years, the Centre has become much more than a building—it has become a place where people feel welcomed, valued and supported.

From health and wellbeing activities, computer classes and creative arts to volunteering opportunities, community events and practical support, we have remained committed to helping people improve their lives and strengthen their connection with the community around them.

As we celebrate this important milestone, we pay tribute to the vision of our founder, Bibi Gurdev Kaur, whose commitment to serving others laid the foundations for everything we continue to achieve today.

We also extend our sincere thanks to our trustees, volunteers, staff, members, partners, funders and, most importantly, the many people who have walked through our doors over the past twenty years. Your support, friendship and encouragement have helped shape Northside Welcome Centre into the welcoming community hub it is today.

While we are proud to celebrate our past, we are equally excited about the future. Together, we look forward to creating many more opportunities for people to learn, connect, grow and thrive.
